SketchBOSTON
Sketching Collaborative for Designers
SketchBoston is a an initiative that invites designers to visit local landscapes and capture impressions of different plants and materials by hand. Site visits have included destinations such as the Harvard Natural History Museum, Arnold Arboretum, Boston Public Garden, Fanueil Hall, and the Charles River Esplanade. Participants bring their medium of choice, the group sketches for an hour or two, and then comes together to show their work in an informal setting – on the steps of a garden or gathered round tables. It is so fun seeing everyone’s interpretation of the landscape!
