A lake in the shape of a heart in the middle of the mountains was the backdrop for Matt and Andrea’s wedding in June. Matt proposed atop a mountain next to the lake a year before with a beautiful ring he designed for Andrea. The wedding was a weekend full of festivities set amidst the ADK Loj and the woods at Heart Lake. As a special token for their camp-themed wedding, I designed a custom patch to commemorate the couple’s special day. The artwork was inspired by a view of heart lake. The original linework was used on the front cover of the ceremony programs. The hand-crafted details were one-of-a-kind – even the wine was made by the couple themselves, and the bottles finished with a commemorative label and graphic. FUN FACT: Prior to this wedding, Matt and his childhood friend Dustin hiked all the peaks of the Adirondacks, making them officially ‘46ers’.
